Marijuana: Medicine or a bad habit?

Since the beginning of time, Marijuana has always been around. It has been around for so long that it’s even implanted in our brain’s and CNS (Central Nervous System) named Cannabinoids Receptors 1 and 2 (CB1/CB2).

The early stages of the illegal ban of cannabis began in the 1920s. By the mid-1930s cannabis was regulated as a drug on the Federal level.

If you think about it today, it’s only been 90 years since weed became unlawful — total bs if you ask me.

I never understood how a plant grown naturally on Earth that carries a Santa Claus list version of different positive medicinal ingredients can be considered “illegal” and sometimes even “poison”.

That’s when I learned and realized that it was a war between Natural Medicine and the Monetary Greed of the Pharmaceutical companies.

I used to be a Pharmaceutical Technician II back in 2014–2015 but the competition was not great. The demand was low and so the need wasn’t dire.

Since the late 1990’s we had seen the first few states in the nation to have passed the first medical and recreational cannabis laws (CA, CO). 20+ years later we have seen more than 20 states already have a combination of either medicinal and/or recreational laws.

Further, since pharmaceutical companies make money off of bringing back their clients for more prescriptions, then why would they pay lobbyists to keep weed illegal? It’s all about the money, greed. The only one who loses out on the deal is the consumer, you neither get healthier and they’re milking you dry of your bank.

However, I do see a progress in the legalization both at the federal and state, local levels.

The tax revenue that the state collects can be more than standard practices from before the cannabis laws changed in the respective state. The Federal Government also gets a cut off the tax made by states.

The fact that a natural grown plant created by God for our medicinal values and properties, ingredients that heal can be considered “illegal” is plain outright a violation of Natural Laws of The Universe.

As far as if weed is bad habit or not, well… as a recreational smoker I’ll say this: if you’re life ain’t right then perhaps you shouldn’t smoke until you get your things situated as it can interrupt the process of your improvement for a better quality of life.

In conclusion, marijuana is of the least addictive (if even that) of drugs known to man. Meanwhile, you have Oregon legalizing all of the drugs created by man! It’s quite the freak show honestly.

It’s like President Ronald Reagan used to say “The solution is not a bigger government, it’s LIMITED government”

I totally agree with President Reagan’s quote that a bigger government is just insanity. Limited government is a good balance.

In conclusion, I believe that us millennials have a responsibility to protect and defend our great grandparent’s history what we have left of freedom and liberty. The only way towards a better system is the beginning of one with values, morals and ethics from the past with improvised new generation ideas that align right with the scope of the conservative movement.

I say the USA should legalize weed on a federal level and then each state can do what they wish to do without big government’s interference. We’ve seen recent examples like Florida, Virginia, Michigan, and a couple more.

What are your thought? Should cannabis be legalized already or no?
